A convention taking place in Concord in late January will be celebrating many aspects of the entertainment industry.
Contra Costa Con 3 is an event where fans of Lego, Disney, comic Books, Hot Wheels, and more can come together to enjoy various activities, shop from artists and other vendors, and interact with special guests. This convention is organized by American Brick Builders and Bay Area Festivals.
A cosplay (costume) contest will be taking place during the event, in which the winners of each age group will get some cash. Registration for this is open throughout the day until the judging occurs at 2:30 pm.
Advance tickets are available to purchase through Eventbrite. These come with a voucher worth $2 to spend on a toy from one of the booths. The cost is $13.55 when the fees are included. Children aged 10 or younger may attend the event for free.
Some of the items that will be available to purchase include shirts, collectibles, toys, games, artwork, Posters featuring a themed graphic design, comics, vintage items, Lego sets, and more.
The convention will be held at the Hilton Concord Hotel on January 23. It will be open from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, with ticket sales at the door starting at 9:45 am that day. Parking at the venue will be available for free to all convention attendees.
