Letterheads for AssetMark Inc., an investment-consulting organization based in Concord, may be set for an update. The company recently announced it has been recognized by the American Heart Association (AHA) for ensuring its workplace is a healthy one.
The company said it has been recognized at the silver level in the 2018 American Heart Association Workplace Health Achievement Index, for its commitment to creating a company culture that emphasizes health.
The Workplace Health Achievement Index was developed by the American Heart Association in association with more than 40 CEOs from across the nation, who are committed to improving the overall health of their employees. According to AssetMark officials, the Index evaluates overall effectiveness, comprehensiveness, and quality of health programs in the workplace, using science-based procedures to do so.
AssetMark’s CFO and executive vice president, Gary Zyla, says the company’s main goal is to give the advisors it employs the resources necessary to help their clients, and making sure they are healthy and work in a conducive environment is part of that aim. He said AssetMark was proud to be honored by the AHA for the achievement.
An event in September brought the winners of the Healthiest Employers awards together for a celebration. It featured a panel whose members discussed ways to create and maintain workplaces that enhanced the emotional, physical, and mental wellbeing of employees.
