West Los Angeles event to honor Scottish bard

Celebrated Scottish poet Robert Burns will be honored during an annual event hosted by the St. Andrew's Society of Los Angeles.

The West Los Angeles area Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills will be the location for the organizer's 95th annual Robert Burns Supper, which has become a local tradition. One of the most popular events of its type on the West Coast, the suggested dress is evening dresses and black tie, or their clan’s tartan kilt for the men if they wish

The event is being billed as offering Scottish sophistication, and it will be filled with traditional activities. A tasting of whisky and gin is on the agenda, along with honoring a special celebrity guest. Bagpiping and other musical performances, recitations of Burns poetry, and other entertainment is in the works, and a four-course meal will be served. Anyone who would like to do so can sample some of the haggis.

Many communities host events in honor of Robert Burns. A poster printing company can prepare decor that fits in well with the overall theme of a special event.

The 95th Annual St. Andrew's Society of Los Angeles Robert Burns Supper will bring a taste of Scotland to SoCal on Saturday, January 25. Tickets and additional information are both available on its event listing.
