West Los Angeles will soon be rolling into an area event that will help community members enjoy getting active out in the fresh air.
The city’s Walk ‘ N Roll Festival will be raising awareness of how much fun biking can be, and it will also support the efforts of the area Adopt-A-Bike program. Anyone who is interested can stop by during its four hour run time, and admission will be free.
The whole family is welcome to drop by, and there will be activities for every age. The attendees can try their hand in a bike skills course, and free helmets will be distributed for as long as supplies last. Bike repairs will be on the house, and skateboard demonstrations are in the works. Anyone interested in picking up some new gear can head to the marketplace, and food, music and a raffle draw will add even more fun. The monies raised will be used to collect and repair bikes that will then be distributed to families in need.
A fair style activity may attract a lot of public attention, and many organizers invite area not for profits to set up shop. These organizations often turn to local brochure printing companies to supply them with materials they can hand out to the crowd.
The Walk ‘N Roll Festival will bring fun on two and four wheels on March 14th. Jesse Brewer Jr. Park will be the location for the function.
