Trussville residents with a love of Books and beer will want to sign up for a local book club as it prepares to start its next read.
The Books & Brews reading club is getting ready to start its next book, Monstrous Regiment by Terry Pratchett, and interested parties will want to join while the opportunity lasts. The club, which is being organized by the Trussville Public Library, offers a way for participants to connect with other members of the community while sharing their thoughts about each month’s book.
Participants meet at Ferus Artisan Ales to discuss their thoughts and ideas surrounding each month’s book while enjoying food and refreshing beverages, including local beers. Organizers and promoters can use flyer printing to produce colorful notices that are ideal for public spaces like bulletin boards, boosting visibility and participation in the community.
This month’s book, Monstrous Regiment, follows Polly Perks on her journey to find her brother, Paul with help from Sergeant Jackrum and a motley collection of characters that add to the adventure. Participants will want to take notes from their reading experience to contribute to the discussion group.
The book club will meet at Ferus Artisan Ales in Trussville on Monday, May 11th, at 7:15 PM. Interested parties can contact the library’s Adult Department for more information and RSVP for the event online.
