The Beaks and Barks Winter Festival is taking place this January and February at the Huntsville Botanical Garden.
Guests are encouraged to bring their dogs along and some of the planned activities will be aimed just at them. One of the events taking place during the festival, on February 21, is the Top Dog 5K marathon, for which registration fees are $20 or $30 after February 14. The Bow Wow Fun Run will take place after the marathon and is for owners and dogs.
There are a lot more activities for both adults and children during the run of the festival. Young Birder's Day on February 15 will feature a live bird demonstration by Tommy Howell, a guided tour of the Lewis Birding Trail and building a bird feeder. Fees for this are $20 or $15 for Garden members. The Birding Symposium on February 14 is set to feature four workshops having to do with conservation. It also includes a tour of the Birding Trail, breakfast, lunch, and door prizes. Tickets are $50 or $40 for members.
To advertise the upcoming festival, organizers may decide to invest in products from Huntsville brochure printers.
