A professional development workshop aimed at strengthening ethical and structural competence in clinical supervision will take place in Huntsville this winter.
The Supervision Toolbox: Practical Ethics and Structure for Today’s Supervisors is designed to address the real-world challenges supervisors face while overseeing associate-level clinicians.
Led by Pamela Tippit, LPC-S, the in-person session centers on ethical accountability, clarity in supervisory roles, and systems that protect both supervisees and supervisors. Participants will examine supervision through the lens of leadership and instruction, moving beyond oversight to intentional skill-building. The training places emphasis on ethical decision-making, boundary management, documentation practices, and evaluation of supervisee readiness using structured reflection tools.
Content draws directly from the ACA Code of Ethics, with applied discussion of supervision hour classifications, recordkeeping expectations, and compliance risks. Attendees will also receive practical strategies they can implement immediately to improve supervision quality, reduce ethical exposure, and foster professional growth among emerging clinicians. The workshop is supported by a companion workbook that reinforces learning through actionable frameworks and exercises.
The event also provides an opportunity for peer connection among mental health professionals navigating similar supervisory responsibilities. Organizers often utilize flyer printing to promote educational workshops like this one.
General admission is priced at $75, with a total cost of $81.88 including fees. Refunds are available up to a week before the event.
The workshop will be held on Thursday, February 26 from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm at the Huntsville–Madison County Public Library, 915 Monroe St. Southwest.
