This November, The Tunnel to Towers Run and Walk will return to Huntsville to honor the courage and sacrifice of Stephen Siller.
Stephen Stiller was a New York firefighter who perished on September 11th after running into the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to aid those trapped in the Twin Towers. The event pays tribute to military and first responder personnel who risk their lives in service of others, combining physical endurance with remembrance and community support.
This event is designed for all ages and fitness levels. Route markers will be at various intervals to guide runners and walkers. Registration categories include adults at $35, military members and first responders at $30, youth ages 13 to 17 at $20, and children 12 and under at $10. Runners can sign up online until October 18th or in person on race morning beginning at 7 am. Participants are required to display bib numbers throughout the course.
Medals will be awarded to the top female and male finishers. There will also be recognition for the leading police officer, firefighter, and military member running in uniform. Water stations will be provided, and medical staff will be on duty for safety.
Organizers may encourage the use of Print shops to create the numbered bibs for participants in events such as this one.
The Tunnel to Towers Run and Walk will occur on Saturday, November 15th, from 8:30 am to 11 am at 501 John Wright Dr, Huntsville, Alabama.
