Cancer awareness walk returns to Huntsville

Huntsville’s Hays Farm will host the Light Up the Night for Cancer walk this October, bringing families and community members together for an evening to support those who have been affected by breast cancer.

The event is inspired by Laura, a member of the Hays Farm team who successfully completed breast cancer treatment last year.

Organizers describe the atmosphere as family-friendly and reflective, with glowsticks and illuminated luminaries creating a visual tribute along the path. Attendees can register on-site, although T-Shirts are only guaranteed for those who registered by September 20.

Check-in starts at 6 p.m. in the parking lot near the Elgie’s Walk Greenway on Haysland Road, with the walk taking place from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Participants will follow a trail route lined with luminaries honoring loved ones.

Registration is $25 per person and includes a commemorative T-shirt and glowstick. Participants may also sponsor a luminary for $15 in honor or memory of a loved one. All proceeds support LivOn Journey Camp, a nonprofit with the goal of helping breast cancer survivors.

Event signage and materials use cohesive Logo Design to unify branding across registration pages, directional Signs, and promotional items.

The event will be held in South Huntsville on Saturday, October 3, 2026. It is free to attend, with on-site parking available. Organizers encourage participants to follow GPS directions to “Hays Farm Trails Parking” and look for event signs upon arrival.
