Run free at the Rocket City Adventure Race in Huntsville

Huntsville families can participate in an adventure race this Memorial Day weekend, providing family-friendly activities, puzzles, and challenges.

This is the third year for this annual race. The event is open and free to attend for participants of all ages. However, donations are encouraged and prior registration will help the organizers get accurate data about participation.

The race will begin at Big Spring Park and participants will work their way through a 2.7-mile path as they hunt for solutions. Children will enjoy seeing the geese, ducks, and koi that live in the park. This is a fun way for families to bond and enjoy the scenery near Big Spring Park and downtown.

This event is organized by Joe Martin from Huntsville Adventure Boot Camp along with Girls on the Run of North Alabama. The money raised from this event will support Girls on the Run, a local non-profit that provides positive, activity-based youth development program for girls in North Alabama.

This year, individual participants will not be paired up, so participants must find their own partners before the race. More information about the race is available on the Rocket City Adventure Race Facebook page. Information about such events is usually promoted with the help of flyer printing.

The event will be held on May 30 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. The venue is at 200 Church Street, Huntsville.
