Huntsville artists looking to add airbrush painting to their repertoire should note that the Master Artist Workshop with Alan Pastrana will take place in just over a month.
Master artist Alan Pastrana grew up in New York during the birth of graffiti and the hip-hop movement. Pastrana started selling his own airbrushed designs at age 15 after being inspired by a live airbrushing display in a boutique shop window. Having attended the Fashion Institute of Technology, he is also trained extensively in color theory, anatomy drawing, portraiture work, life drawing, fashion drawing, and painting.
The workshop will delve into the foundational aspects of airbrush painting and provide helpful drills and exercises to hone airbrush control. The workshop is designed for airbrush novices, with special emphasis on experienced artists who wish to add airbrushing techniques to their already impressive artistic skillset. Those who have some limited experience with airbrushing will also find the class helpful in reinforcing their knowledge. Topics covered include methods and materials, mechanics of the airbrush, and maintenance of equipment.
Art-oriented workshops like this will often utilize informative Brochures, which can be printed efficiently using local brochure printing services.
The airbrush workshop is scheduled for March 30 through April 1. It will be held at the Huntsville Museum of Art at 300 Church Street Southwest. Museum member price is $825, and non-member price is $875.
