The Rocket City BBQ and Soul Fest will take place in Huntsville next month, and will bring with it food, live music, and fun for the whole family.
The festival will showcase the area’s best BBQ joints as well as the talents of Huntsville’s DJs and soul music artists. There will also be a BBQ competition to allow food vendors to show off their smoking and grilling skills. Priding itself on being a family-friendly event, the festival will have several kid-centered activities, such as bounce houses, face painting, and horseback riding.
The venue encompasses a 37-acre park that attendees will be able to take leisurely strolls through as they peruse the many food and retail vendor booths. Event organizers encourage attendees to bring their own lawn chairs to set up in the park and listen to the live music playing throughout the day. Tailgaters are welcome to tailgate on festival grounds at no additional cost as well.

The festival is scheduled for May 20 from 10:00 am to 11:00 pm. It will take place at NSS Conference Center located at 6001 Pulaski Pike NW. Tickets are $20, with children 12 and under attending for free.
