Businesses have been told that 'Wales is open for business' at the Customer Focus 2014 event.
That is the message being put out by the Government and Cardiff City Council, as they left delegates with the clear instruction to get business card printing and seek opportunities here.
With new investment announced for the M4 this week, as part of a £500m cash boost to the Welsh Government for infrastructure spending, the event opener said his firm was eager to do business in the capital of the country.
Christopher Nott, a managing partner of legal firm Capital Law, welcomed the delegates to the event, saying he was ready to invite them on-board as business partners for future projects and initiatives.
Nott showcased a number of strategies being taken in Cardiff and throughout Wales to drive corporate investment. This included mention of the constant development of transport networks, which will be further boosted by the infrastructure fund.
Playing the genial host for the event, BBC Breakfast presenter Bill Turnbull told of fond memories he had of Cardiff. A one-time university student in Splott, Turnbull also noted the importance of getting customer service right.
The part-time bee-keeper said that it is important not to lose sight of how essential customer service is today. With so much competition available, the journalist said customers can easily take their spending elsewhere.
