Singer/songwriter Freya Ridings is embarking on her 'Mother of Pearl Tour' and is due to play Cardiff, plus support, at the beginning of October.
She first came to the music public's attention in 2017 with the hit single ‘Lost Without You', which reached No. 9 on the Top 10 Chart in the UK. It has achieved 500 million streams on Spotify since and was added to BBC Radio 1 and Radio 2 playlists, confirming her talent as a vocalist.
Ridings can deliver strong ballads, not to mention genuine punch the air audience moments. Both her self-titled debut LP, which came out in 2019, and the 2023 follow-up 'Blood Orange' earned UK Top 10 Album Chart places. These secured her a 'Best Female Solo Artist' BRIT nomination as well as stimulating worldwide interest in her music.
The singers third album, 'Mother of Pearl' is due for release soon, and in this she reaches deep down into her personal reserves to explore themes such as wisdom, anger and womanhood.
