An upscale British brasserie located in the heart of Cardiff is holding an event dedicated to a very young red wine from France’s Beaujolais region.
Budding sommeliers and citizens with a passion for wine in Cardiff can join an upcoming dining experience. Running in honour of Beaujolais Day, the festival that marks the beginning of the harvest of Beaujolais Nouveau, a young, fruity and vibrant red wine the event involves multi-course meals with a French theme.
Restaurants hosting French-inspired events often rely on professional printing services for Menus featuring national colours like the blue, white and red of the tricolore flag.
Guests attending the event can select either a two-course meal priced at £50 or an indulgent three-course option for £55 per person. To elevate the experience, performers will provide live entertainment during the service which is open from lunch through to dinner.
Made with Gamay grapes that are harvested by hand, Beaujolais Nouveau is bottled only six to eight weeks following picking. As a result, it is one of the fastest made wines in the world. Light-bodied, it is low in tannins and has distinct red berry flavours like cherry, raspberry and strawberry.
The Beaujolais Day festivities will now run at The Ivy on Thursday, November 19. The all-day brasserie is based at 69/70 St David's in Cardiff, and the dining experience is available between 11.30 am and 6 pm.
