This facility has been opened by Equiniti – a company considered among the top payment, pensions, investment and technology firms in the UK – and it is based within the ‘Capital Quarter’ of Cardiff’s Enterprise Zone.
Attended by the minister in charge of science, economy and transport, Edwina Hart, Equiniti is set to use the centre as a base for the continued development of core solutions.
Speaking at the opening of the centre, Hart stated:
“We are delighted that Equiniti has decided to locate the core of its innovation activities in Cardiff and warmly welcome this strategically important investment in one of our key sectors.”
She went on to add that the Welsh Government was focused on developing educational and commercial technology, ensuring that Cardiff would be the perfect city for companies seeking to expand.
