Post-punk musician heading for Cardiff

Lene Lovich is a New Wave singer-songwriter, presently on tour with her band, and is due to play Cardiff, plus support, at the beginning of August.

She hails from Detroit, Michigan, and emerged as a leading light on the Post-punk scene. This talented musician's best-known album 'Stateless' came out in 1978, from which, 'Lucky Number', her biggest hit song was taken.

After a break in the late 1980s, she recorded the LP 'March'. Whilst 'Shadows And Dust' appeared in 2005. At the same time, she set up a publishing company, Flex Music

Lene has collaborated with, performed with, and contributed to the work of a wide variety of artists including Hawkswind, Dresden Dolls, and Judge Smith. She has also played at the Royal Festival Hall as well as the Drop Dead and Rebellion Festivals.

2012, saw her perform with a new band. The next year undertaking an extensive tour, which finished with sell-out shows in Berlin and London. She continues to deliver her 1970s brand of music.
