The stand-up comedian Jarlath Regan is on tour with his new show 'Yer Man' and is due to play a gig in Cardiff in mid-May.
This Irish comic, writer and a creator hails from Kildare. When he was a 24-year-old accounts executive, he began touring his observational style of comedy, which plays on words, in Ireland. It eventually led to him taking the show to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and around the world.
Regan relocated to London in 2013, and after six months created the successful 'An Irishman Abroad' podcast series. With over one million listeners worldwide, it involves interviewing famous Irish emigres and those of Irish descent, such as the late Sir Terry Wogan, Hozier, Sharon Horgan and Boy George.
Regan’s list of TV credits include Dara O'Briain’s hit show 'The Panel' and 'Live At London Palladium' (ITV), 'Russell Howard's Good News' (BBC), 'The World Stands Up' on Comedy Central and 'Last Comic Standing' (NBC).
As a writer, Regan has produced material for prime-time shows and been an 'Irish Post' columnist. His book of unusual greetings cards, 'How To Break Bad News', proved to be a bestseller.
