A brand new restaurant has opened its doors to the public in Cardiff and is being described as the tallest in the whole city – although it only goes up five floors.
The Classroom is located at Cardiff and Vale College, on the fifth level of the campus building, and provides diners with some spectacular views of the city while they eat.
Modern cuisine from different European countries is on the menu at the restaurant, which officially launched on the 24th of November, within the site that recently underwent a £45 million redevelopment.
However, although it may be the tallest eatery in Cardiff, the likes of Ting and the Duck and Waffle – on the 35th and 40th floors of their buildings respectively – are a good deal higher up.
Those studying catering and hospitality at Cardiff and Vale College will be among the staff working at the restaurant, alongside professional chefs boasting experience at restaurants with AA Rosettes and Michelin Stars.
It is intended to provide these students with a working environment similar to that they will encounter when they graduate, with top chefs set to visit them and teach masterclasses.
Alex Smith, its head chef, stated that it would offer diners something genuinely unique, as well as helping students with their courses.
The college will be able to turn to places that offer flyer printing in Cardiff, to help promote The Classroom.
