The Irish stand-up comic Chris Kent is on tour with his latest show 'Back At It' and is due to play in Cardiff at the beginning of May.
This Cork-born electrician turned comedian and actor, emerged on the Irish Comedy circuit in 2009, rapidly achieving recognition with his authentic storytelling style. He opened for the likes of Dylan Moran, then subsequently toured Ireland performing his sell-out shows notably 'Stop Stalling'.
Chris has appeared at both Dublin's Iveagh Gardens and Kilkenny's 'Cat Laughs' Festivals. To these can be added Edinburgh, on numerous occasions with his various one-man shows such as 'Corked' in 2014, as well as the Perth Fringe.
His media credits include Comedy Central's 'Russell Howard's Stand-Up Central', raising his UK profile, plus the RTE radio programmes 'The Second Republic', (as a panellist) and 'Next Year's News'. He took on his first acting role in the BBC's sitcom 'The Young Offenders', later featuring in RTE's 'Women on the Verge'.
Chris won the 'Bulmers Nuttin But Funny Competition' and then won the 'Comedy Smack Down Award' at The Galway Comedy Festival in 2010.
