Louise Taylor is 33 and operates her business from a house in Cardiff. She beat off the competition in her category of the Welsh awards for hair stylists and beauticians. Her prize was received in the Cardiff City Stadium. Business Cards are useful for entrepreneurs who attend networking events.
Taylor told Wales Online:
“Some of my clients book in their next five appointments because they know they are not going to get in with me. They talk to me about their problems. It's like I'm their therapist as well as their hairdresser.”
Taylor established a salon about 12 years ago. However, seven years later she was struggling to hire staff. In addition, her overheads were high and she was working long hours. This proved unsustainable when she had a child.
For a while, Taylor used a chair she rented in a salon. Then she decided to create her own space at home. A room which was once devoted to toys was pressed into action. A perfectionist, Taylor pampers one individual, while the colour sets on the hair of another person.
