Gretchen Peters comes to Cardiff

The country artist Gretchen Peters, and her 'Roots Unearthed' tour, supported by Kim Richey, is due to arrive in Cardiff in mid-April.

Singer/songwriter Gretchen is a highly respected musician who has been creating clever and introspective songs now for twenty tears. This includes writing for such popular artists as Bonnie Raitt, Bryan Adams, Faith Hill, and The Neville Brothers.

In 2014, she was introduced into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame by Rodney Crowell. 2015 saw her album, ‘Blackbirds’, debut at UK Number 1 on the Country chart. It won both Song of the Year and International Album of the Year and entered the top UK 40 pop charts. Two times Grammy nominee Gretchen has literally sold records in their millions worldwide.

Kim Richey, also twice Grammy-nominated is an emotional storyteller, releasing five critically well-received albums. She has penned four US Top 10 chart hits and two successful Number 1s plus other Top 50 singles. Her songs have been recorded by Trisha Yearwood and James Morrisson and she herself sings on albums by Ryan Adams and Mary Chapin Carpenter.

Tickets cost £31.50 on the door. Poster printing is recognised as an effective way of drawing the public's attention to a forthcoming musical or theatrical event.
