The stand-up comedian Henning Wehn and his 'It'll All Come Out In The Wash' tour is due to arrive in Cardiff early in May.
He is perhaps best known for his role as the self-appointed 'German Comedy Ambassador in London'. It was in October 2003, whilst attending an open mic session, that it suddenly struck him that he could do just as well.
Henning tours mostly on his own but occasionally teams up with a compatriot comedian, Otto Kuhnle. Indeed, their '1000 Years of German Humour' show received a 'Barry Award' nomination at 'The Melbourne Comedy Festival' in 2009.
He has featured on Channel 4's '8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown', BBC 2's 'Live At The Apollo' and BBC Radio 5 Live's 'Fighting Talk'. There have also been several appearances on BBC Radio 4's 'The Unbelievable Truth'.
Henning's routine is a play on the typical post-war German stereotype of the absence of a sense of humour. A big element of his act involves self-analysis and interpreting his own jokes and tag lines. 'The New European' has described him as "One of the most sure-footed stand-ups on the circuit."
Tickets cost £25 plus a £1.50 booking fee if required. Poster printing can be an effective way of advertising a forthcoming comedy or theatrical event.
Henning Wehn's gig has a starting time of 7.30pm on Saturday 7th May at St David's Hall Cardiff.
