The West End comic stage production of Alfred Hitchcock's 'The Thirty-Nine Steps' is currently on tour, and is due to arrive in Cardiff in late April.
Simon Corbie and Nobby Dimon originated this novel idea based on the book by John Buchan. The hit comedy previously won Tony and Olivier Awards, and has played globally in 39 countries, entertaining audiences of over 3 million people collectively, over time.
It follows the adventures of the hero, Richard Hannay, as he confronts murderers, treacherous secret agents and attractive women. Hailed by critics as an “innovative and humorous spy thriller”, the performances are given by just four actors who deliver 139 roles in around 100 minutes, with all of the iconic scenes from the film included.
Fans will recognise the memorable scenes of the chase on the Flying Scotsman, the Forth Bridge escape, the first staged theatrical bi-plane crash and the thrilling London Palladium finale, as well as the stockings and garters scene – a favourite of many.
It has been specially adapted by Patrick Barlow and is directed by Maria Atkin and Toby Sedgwick, with Fiery Angel as the producer.
Tickets range in price from £24.00 to £40.00, and may be subject to a transaction fee. Brochure printing can be an effective way of promoting a future show or theatrical event.
'The Thirty-Nine Steps' will take place between Tuesday, 23 April and Saturday, 27 April at New Theatre, Cardiff.
