Stand-up comedian Kevin Bridges is on his Overdue Catch-Up Tour and will play a couple of dates in Cardiff in mid-October.
Born in Glasgow and an alumnus of the city's Caledonian University, Bridges has a career spanning nearly two decades. His distinctive brand of observational comedy combines personal thoughts on a wide variety of topics with pertinent social commentary.
His initial stage appearance took place at the local Strand Comedy Club. It was followed by success at the Glasgow International Comedy Festival in 2006. From there, he sold out more than 100 dates on his 2010 debut UK solo tour, and two years later his Kevin Bridges – The Story Continues tour broke ticket sales records.
The comedian made his first foray into television on the BBC's Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow, and has appeared on Have I Got News For You as well as Channel 4's 8 Out Of Ten Cats, among other shows.
A Best Newcomer nominee at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards, he won the Chortle Success Award in 2010 and produced a series of popular DVDs, latterly The Brand New Tour in 2018.
