This will be the very first Party in the Parc that Cardiff has played host to, with those responsible for the Pride Cymru event taking on the task of organising it. The concert seems sure to be the highlight of the summer for music fans living in the Welsh city.
Years and Years are an up and coming electronic act consisting of Emre Turkmen on keyboards, Mikey Goldsworthy on bass guitar and Olly Alexander on keyboards and vocals. Among their hits to date are number one smash ‘King’, with their ‘Communion’ album also hitting the top of the charts.
Pride Cymru committee chair and co-founder of Party in the Parc, Lu Thomas, told Wales Online:
“We’re excited to be bringing this amazing band to our vibrant capital city, which marks a whole weekend of music and celebration.”
He went on to add that ticket sale profits from the weekend would be used to help finance future Pride Cymru events.
