The city already boasts a significant number of places to eat and drink, with many of them situated within the district that has St Mary Street at the heart of it, but those behind this planned new bar have guaranteed that it will add something genuinely fresh to Cardiff nightlife. It is being given the name Buzzing Bee.
Once it opens, this blend of bar and eatery will offer colourful cocktails based around honey. The food on the menu will be based on Lebanese cuisine and starters that are drawn from Indian street food.
Buzzing Bee will be located above the popular dessert café Creams and the idea for it came from Hookah Bars Ltd co-owner Sai Kamuni – the same firm that owns the café. Speaking to Wales Online ahead of the September launch, he stated:
“We’ve been trying to get the licence for a long time. Firstly we just wanted to open a bar but we changed our Plans to include a restaurant too.”
