The American singer-songwriter Lissie is on her Carving Canyons Tour, which includes a gig in Cardiff in mid-February.
Elisabeth Corrin Maurus, alias Lissie, who hails from Illinois, first appeared on stage aged nine in Annie. She began writing songs whilst still at college, producing a four-track self-titled EP in 2007 and then toured with Lenny Kravitz.
Lissie was signed by Columbia Records, who released her critically acclaimed gold-selling debut album Catching A Tiger. It garnered several accolades, notably the iTunes Song of 2010 for When I'm Alone. The album itself reached number five on the Folk Chart in the US and 12 in the UK on the Album Chart.
She gained further recognition after her version of Fleetwood Mac's Go Your Own Way was used in a Twinnings advertisement, and as the BBC Radio 4's theme tune for their reading of Stonemouth, a novel by Iain Banks.
Lissie recorded three more studio albums, including the 2019 record Castles, to positive reviews but mixed commercial success. Her latest album Carving Canyons consists of 12 personal songs that focus on heartbreak and loneliness and how the soul struggles through pain.
A single ticket costs £29.33 inclusive of a booking fee. Poster printing can be effective when it comes to promoting a concert or musical event.
Lissie's gig has a starting time of 7.00pm on Wednesday 15th February at The Tramshed, Cardiff.
