Blackeyed Theatre is on tour with its adaptation Sherlock Holmes: The Valley Of Fear for the stage, with the show due to arrive in Cardiff towards the end of May.
This is the worldwide premiere of a mystery-adventure that combines new music, innovative theatrics and a quality tale. It is adapted from the fourth and final installment in Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes series of novels.
Our detective hero receives an unusual encrypted message, indicating an immediate threat. This draws both him and Dr Watson into an intriguing story of murder. - one that stretches from 221B Baker Street to Pennsylvania's bleak Vermissa Valley.
Confronted with a set of confusing clues, Holmes exposes a dark network of corruption that involves a secretive organisation, as well as the suspicious activities of his arch nemesis Professor Moriarty.
Nick Lowe adapted the novel and Tristan Parkes composed the music. Luke Barton, (One Man, Two Guvnors), and Joseph Derrington (The Importance of Being Earnest) are playing the roles of Holmes and Watson. Other cast members include Blake Kubena, Alice Osmanski and Gavin Molloy.
Tickets range in price from £17 to £32. The value of graphic design shouldn't be underestimated when producing a stage or theatrical event.
Sherlock Homes - The Valley Of Fear will take place between Wednesday 24th May and Friday 26th May, with a starting time of 7.30pm at The New Theatre, Cardiff.
