Originally from the US Deep South, Hunter has lived in the UK for nearly 20 years. In that time, this comic emerged as one of the country's leading stage acts. His stand-up is both an original take on topical issues and a challenging social critique, tackling everything from love and death to race and sexuality.
A three times Perrier nominee and the 2006 winner of the Writers Guild for Comedy, his television credits include 'Live at the Apollo', 'QI' and 'Have I Got News for You'. He has also presented two BBC television series – 'Reginald D Hunter’s Songs of the Border' and 'Reginald D Hunter’s Songs of the South' both of which were well received by the public and critics alike.
The Times said of him:
"Reginald D Hunter joins the top rank of stand-up comedians working today…A comedian going for broke flying in the face of received opinion in a way that is simply exhilarating...this is comedy of a rare scope."
Tickets cost £23.30 inclusive of a booking fee. Flyer printing can be an effective way of publicising a forthcoming comedy or theatrical event.
Reginald D Hunter's gig has a starting time of 7:30 pm on Wednesday, February 23 at The Glee Club, Cardiff.
