Cardiff football club reopens stadium

Cardiff City football club has used poster printing to advertise the 'reopening' of its stadium.

The ground occupied by Cardiff City Football Club has not recently moved or changed, but Cardiff City Blues – or The Bluebirds, as the team is known locally – has made some major changes to its identity. There has been a certain amount of controversy surrounding this, as The Bluebirds' traditional team colour of blue has been switched to bright red.

The changes were recently unveiled to local football fans when the stadium was officially reopened for the start of the new football season.

Cardiff City Football Club staged a major gala event celebrating the reopening of its home ground. The event featured a hog roast, live music and fairground rides – all of which were part of a bid to encourage local people to support the club's home ground.

The stadium has advertised the reopening using promotional materials that have been produced using professional poster printing. Cardiff City Football Club is calling the reopening a "Celebration of the present". The poster was also showcased on the club's website.

The re-launch of the stadium was supported by an online marketing campaign on Twitter, which encouraged people to tweet about their positive experiences at the ground using the hashtag '#LOVETHECITY2012.'

Cardiff City Football Club released a statement about this, saying:

β€œThe 2012/13 season and beyond will see City have sole ownership of the Stadium. This means we will be able to celebrate our history and showcase the present."

Cardiff City's home ground reopening took place on 10th August.
