Many troubled children prefer to use the internet to seek help, and Rantzen reportedly had initial doubts about the web-based approach, but she has changed her mind in the light of the facts. Only two ChildLine centres are online only, with Cardiff being one of them.
ChildLine has extended its Welsh operations. When it was based in Swansea, it did not have half the number of volunteers that it has currently. The charity switched its base to the capital of Wales a couple of years past, and since then, the speedy expansion there has caught the eyes of others within the organisation.
If ChildLine wishes to extend knowledge of its presence to children in the city, its managers may opt to use flyer printing in Cardiff. The organisation is nearly 30 years old and has a dozen hubs across the country.
The aim of the charity is to assist children when they are dealing with difficult issues like bullying, abuse, and self-harm. According to analysts, further recruitment is required in Cardiff so that the demand for the service can be addressed.
Rantzen has told Wales Online:
