American rockers destined for Cardiff

American rock band, OneRepublic. is currently on its 'Escape to Europe Tour, 2025, plus support, and is due to play Cardiff at the end of September.

Their origins date back to 1996 when Ryan Tedder and Zach Filkins were high school friends in Colorado Springs. They met up again in Los Angeles in 2002 to form OneRepublic, signing after nine months for Columbia Records.

The band consists of lead singer and songwriter Ryan Tedder, Zach Filkins and Drew Brown on guitars, bassist Brent Kutzle, and Eddie Fisher on drums. They released their debut LP 'Dreaming Out Loud' in 2007, including the platinum-selling single and Grammy nominated 'Apologize'.

Their next album, 'Waking Up', appeared in 2009, delivering the chart hits 'Secrets and 'All the Right Moves'. Whilst 2013's platinum LP, 'Native', featured the 41 million best-seller No.1 single 'Counting Stars'.

The band's live album called 'One Night In Malibu' came out in early 2022, and they have achieved a total of over five billion Spotify streams.

The support on this occasion is provided by Elle Henderson, the 2012 X Factor contestant and BRITs nominee.
