A social club based in East London’s Walthamstow will host a flea market this spring.
Last year, in September, the Walthamstow Flea Market was held for the first time, and it continues to be a popular event for the East London area. Now, an upcoming edition is being advertised that will see the market that specialises in second hand sales spring up again in May.
The market’s location was once employed as factory units, after reopening as Truman’s Social Club, and the event space now provides ample room for traders of pre-loved goods of all shapes and sizes. Those fond of antiques and rummage sales will find a treasure trove of items, from homeware goods, lighting, furniture, industrial fixtures and electrical items to other curiosities and collectables to pick from.
Sellers at local markets often use business card printing services to create professional calling cards they can hand out to potential clients and contacts. The upcoming event is largely an indoor occasion, but on days when the weather is fine, traders can set up stalls outdoors as well and food and beverages can be found for those in need of refreshment.
The Walthamstow Flea Market will take place at Truman’s Social Club on 1 Priestly Way in Walthamstow on Sunday, May 15. The event will keep to its regular opening hours of 11 am to 5 pm. Entrance is charged at £1 per person.
