A tour will take place at a nature preserve in Walthamstow this autumn that offers guests a glimpse behind the scenes.
The London Wildlife Trust’s biggest reserve in Walthamstow will take visitors on a guided tour to explain how it is helping plants and animals onsite. Grassroots UK charity groups working to protect nature often use brochure printing services to create detailed Booklets that inform the public of the plight of wildlife in their local environment.
Titled the “Behind the Scenes Nature Recovery Tour”, the experience is headed up by Amy, a Senior Reserves Officer. Those signing up for the walk will be whisked off the beaten track to discover more about the type of recovery activities taking place in areas typically closed to members of the public.
Tour takers will explore reedbeds and meadows to find out how the reserve teams are using practical conservation methods, recording reptiles, helping migratory birds and working to attract rare bees.
The tour will be held on Tuesday, September 15 at Walthamstow Wetlands. It starts at 10.30 am and ends at 12 pm with the Wetlands located at 2 Forest Road in Walthamstow. The price to participate is £16.37 per person.
The walk lasts around one and a half hours and includes gentle inclines. For footwear, comfortable but sturdy shoes are advised, and guests should bring along water for hydration.
