Walthamstow to welcome British Blues

A UK blues outfit that formed towards the end of the 70s will be performing a show in Walthamstow in 2024.

Walthamstow music fans will rejoice at the news that The Blues Band will soon be arriving in the east London town. Formed in 1979 by members of Manfred Mann, the group has released albums and toured the world over the years. While it has taken many time-outs, the band always reforms eventually to play for its fans.

Walthamstow Trades Hall is hosting the band in February for a single-night show, where they will play tracks from their 2022 release entitled “So Long”, alongside beloved numbers from their extensive back catalogue. Those attending the upcoming gig in Walthamstow might hear classic stage favourites like "Come On In" and "Flatfoot Sam".

Bands often work with gifted Graphic Design Services to produce eye-catching artwork for their studio recordings that represent a specific theme.

Former Manfred Mann frontman and harmonic player Paul Jones launched The Blues Band with fellow group guitarist Tom McGuinness. Other notable members over the years include Dave Kelly, who played slide guitar with blues legends John Lee Hooker and Howlin’ Wolf, and Hughie Flint, the drummer from John Mayall's Blues Breakers.

The Blues Band will be live on stage at the Walthamstow Trades Hall on Saturday, February 3. The popular venue can be found at 61-63 Tower Hamlets Road in Walthamstow, London.
