Walthamstow to hear tales of nature

A wildlife park based in Walthamstow is hosting a special summer programme to help young children connect with the natural world.

Families in Walthamstow with little ones looking for fun won’t have far to travel this summer. Local wildlife hub, the Walthamstow Wetlands, is holding nature-themed experiences over the holidays featuring interactive stories and more.

Organisers of educational experiences for children often work closely with dedicated brochure printing services that can produce colourful and informative Booklets explaining what is involved for parents.

The one-hour experiences will be taken by a member of the Walthamstow Wetlands’ designated Learning and Engagement team. Children taking part can enjoy outdoor storytelling followed by either an exploration of a natural habitat or a crafting activity with a nature theme.

The Nature Storytime event will now take place at Walthamstow Wetlands from Tuesday, July 29 to Tuesday, August 26. The wildlife park is based at 2 Forest Road in Walthamstow and the meeting point is the outside classroom beside the Engine House. Storytime sessions start at 10.30 am and end at 11.30 am.

Although the activity is free to attend, the organisers welcome donations from families participating. All proceeds from the programme are invested in the education and conservation work conducted by the London Wildlife Trust and the nature reserves under its care.

All children must have an adult accompanying them.
