Walthamstow Library launches job skills workshop

A library in North East London is hosting a workshop designed to aid applicants by teaching them how to construct a professional CV, among other job hunting skills.

The dedicated ‘Create a CV’ workshop is a learning opportunity aimed at adults who are seeking to improve their professional appearance on paper to prospective employers. The practical class is suitable for those seeking a new role or for those who are keeping their options open by applying to posts advertised online.

The workshop will supply advice and support to individuals creating a CV from scratch while helping them learn necessary new skills for applying for online opportunities. Candidates will be shown the most effective approaches when searching for work online and how to make applications via the web with a fully completed and up-to-date CV.

Local facilities and enterprises arranging seminars and workshops can create useful supporting materials for those attending with assistance from professional printing services.

Attendees of the workshop will also learn how to improve their chances of acquiring positive responses, along with ways to build confidence when applying for positions.

The Create a CV workshop will take place at Walthamstow Library on Walthamstow High Street in London. The quick access course will start at 5.15pm and end at 6pm on Friday, October 16. Due to limited spaces, booking is essential.
