Jumble Trail event to take place in Walthamstow Village

A locally-organised jumble trail will be held around Walthamstow Village in North East London later this year.

Residents of Walthamstow Village are invited to take part in the 5th annual Jumble Trail. Last year saw more than 80 individual stalls and scores of visitors from across the capital arrive in the district. Items on sale included hand-made arts and crafts, pre-loved toys and home-baked cakes.

The Jumble Trail has been arranged by the Walthamstow Village Residents Association (WVRA). The organisation describes the trail as “a car boot sale on your street” and invites members of the village community to set up stalls within their front gardens and sell their wares.

Event organisers can use flyer printing services to spread the word and attract a good attendance.

Co-ordinated online, the event offers attendees a map which has been colour-coded to easily track down stalls on the trail. An online mapping system is also being used to locate and place those taking part. Stall holders will appear on the online jumble map ready to be discovered, after completing the booking process and paying the necessary charge.

The £5 fee will be used for marketing the event and put towards keeping the village beautiful via the WVRA.

The Jumble Trail will take place between 12pm and 4pm on Sunday, 1 September.
