Free fountain fun for Walthamstow

As part of an ongoing programme, Waltham Forest is inviting those from around the area to enjoy the town hall fountain this summer.

Walthamstow’s “Fellowship Fountain” performances will be taking place throughout August as part of a continuing community initiative. The recently introduced fountain based at the town hall on Forest Road was devised to create a reflection pool and children from around the local area are invited to enjoy a splash to keep cool over the summer months. Councils and enterprises alike often use flyer printing services to create informative mailers letting enterprises know about new events, products, and services.

Situated in Fellowship Square, the fountain was built with architect Philip Hepworth’ original Plans firmly in mind and features a centrally placed plinth with a central jet. Additionally, there are a further 144 individual jets that can be programmed, allowing them to “dance” to selected music. For the Fellowship fountain performances each jet is illuminated by different coloured lights creating visual impact that brings the location to life.

To reduce the fountain’s water consumption, its internal design also includes a recirculating water system.

The Fellowship Fountain performances will take place between 9:00 am and 7:00 pm on Thursday, August 11 at Fellowship Square, at Waltham Forest Town Hall on Forest Road in Walthamstow. Visitors can expect lights, music. and dancing water jets at several different points throughout the day.
