Walthamstow is set to welcome a stage show designed to raise funds for the local community.
A pantomime called Goody Two Shoes will be performed live at a popular venue in Walthamstow this spring. Theatres, concert halls and other venues putting on stage productions often use flyer printing services to create colourful leaflets calling in the crowds to upcoming shows.
The pantomime tells the tale of an evil sorceress called Septica who leaves her magical shoes with an elf cobbler to be mended. However, she spots her rival, Goody Coddle wearing them and seeks revenge. Audience goers will see her try and reclaim the shoes while Goody Coddle uses them to make wishes.
The show is a Starlighters production. Founded back in 1980, Starlighters raises funds for good causes around Waltham Forest. The proceeds from the pantomime will be given to a charity in Walthamstow Village which is also the event’s venue, The Walthamstow Forest Community Hub. The local charity provides support to both senior citizens and young people.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions it was necessary for the original date for the show to be cancelled.
The pantomime will now be performed live at the Waltham Forest Community Hub on Saturday, April 9. The show will start at 2.30 pm and finish at 5 pm. The venue doors will open at 2 pm and tickets for the pantomime are priced at £5 per person.
