Uxbridge nightclub donates thousands to hospital

The group which backs Uxbridge’s Liquid club has given over £3000 to the paediatric unit of Hillingdon Hospital to help purchase equipment.

The NHS Foundation Trust for Hillingdon Hospitals has received

£3360 from a charity set up by Deltic Group. The Echo Trust aims to assist young adults and sick children.

Liquid, which is part of the Deltic Group, has participated in fundraising for charity at various events. In the future, it may find use for flyer printing from nearby Hayes for promotional purposes. The manager for Liquid, Beth Rogers, told Get West London:

“The donation is a way of giving back to our local community. We hold regular collections at the club and we nominated the hospital to benefit because of the amazing work it does to help sick children and their families.”

Hillingdon Hospital has now got the opportunity to provide improved services. It has two fresh items of equipment for one of its wards. One is a monitor for evaluating oxygen saturation. The other is a pain relief machine which can be manipulated by the patient who knows their own needs. All this kit should contribute to the quality of care.

Matron Chris Mann, who is the Nursing Services Manager for the paediatrics section, thanked Liquid for the special equipment. He also expressed his gratitude to the Echo Trust, passing on the sentiments of staff and patients.
