Rich Hall set to entertain Hayes

A theatre in Hayes is inviting an American comedian to its stage this autumn as part of his latest tour of shows featuring one of his most loved musical characters.

Hayes residents can enjoy a cocktail of comedy and country music this year. US comedian, musician, actor and writer Rich Hall is bringing a brand-new show to town called “Chin Music” and tickets are available to book.

The show takes its name from a phrase with two meanings, either idle talk or a type of throw in cricket or baseball designed to intimidate the batter. Promotion for the latest routine from Hall suggests it perfectly sums up the comedian who it describes as both idle and intimidating.

Tour managers often order low-cost Promotional Products bearing the name and likeness of comedians they represent to give to fans at shows and meet and greets.

Applauded for being sharp and sublimely improvisational, Hall rose to prominence in the 80s as a sketch comedian. As part of the upcoming show, he performs as his country-music playing alter ego former Tennessee jailbird, Otis Lee Crenshaw.

Rich Hall: Chin Music will be at the Beck Theatre on Wednesday, September 23. The venue is on Grange Road in Hayes, and the show is suitable for audiences aged 14 and over. Tickets are priced at £22 per person and the performance is two hours long with an interval.
