Pub transformation in Uxbridge High Street

A pub located on Uxbridge High Street is about to reopen after being shut for more than two years.

The Crown and Sceptre was closed over two years ago, however, it is due to be reopened soon. It has benefited from an investment of £400,000 and its new owners will reopen the place as Whelans, intending for it to have an Irish character. Promotional Drinkware from Hayes can be used in the sector.

Austin Whelan told Get West London:

“This new incarnation of an Irish pub will represent the very best of Irish hospitality with a great atmosphere and top quality food, drink and service. The pub is in a great location near to the train and bus stations.”

Whelan pointed out that the pub is being reopened in the context of a changing Uxbridge. He suggested the development would be positive for the surrounding neighbourhood.

Whelan is also the proprietor of The Black Bull pub in Ruislip. The new venture will see Whelan working with Star Pubs and Bars, which is a leased pub operation owned by Heineken UK. It is hoped that Whelans will be opened early in 2017 as construction has already begun.

The Plans involve giving the pub an external area and the needs of the customers will be addressed by the use of an awning. Heating shall also be available.
