A boutique style cinema is on its way to Hayes in Hillingdon along with a venue for live music, an adventure climbing wall and much more in an all-new renovation project.
The site of the project is the Old Vinyl Factory, that historically housed the well-known EMI factory. The former pressing plant is being purchased by the Really Local Group, that has extensive designs to transform the building, providing residents with not only a three-screen cinema theatre, but a bar and cafe, community spaces, a venue for live performances and an exhibition stage.
Organisations running new centres for the local community can employ the use of flyer printing services to spread the word on the amenities now available.
Specialists in regeneration projects U+I are selling the plant with the ambition of creating a new cultural hub for Hayes. U+I purchased the site in 2011 and is driving development via a selection of partnerships. Once completed, it will feature over 700 homes.
The new building will be entitled The Gramophone as a nod to its past purpose. The exhibition area will work in partnership with EMI’s Archive Trust, in a celebration of the location’s important history as a part of the international music trade.
An area within the structure already features bouldering walls for indoor climbing run by a new start-up venture The Nest.
The Gramophone is set to open in 2021.
