New data centre headed for Hayes

West London’s Hayes will be the site of a new data centre scheme.

Along with logistics, industrial and healthcare facilities, data centres are among the operations most successfully navigating the economic storm caused by COVID-19. Now, a scheme to develop a dedicated data centre is planned for the Bulls Bridge Industrial estate on Hayes Road.

In a scheme developed by specialist Ark Data Centres, a new facility named Union Park will be constructed.

The upcoming development represents a £600 million investment from the data centre firm and will include a 56,000 square metre campus, ancillary offices and a substation on site. The proposed site will encompass the RMC building, which is currently vacant, and the area formerly occupied by the British Airways building.

Chief Executive Officer for Ark Data Centres, Huw Owen, commented:

“In order to keep up with the pace of digital change, the UK needs to build more data centres to support rapid data growth.”

Enterprises advertising new elements of their operations to clients can sometimes use brochure printing services to create professional literature detailing projects.

A prerequisite of the planned development is to provide a scheme that answers the priorities of the local council and community by using sustainable technology like solar power and investing in environmentally-minded enhancements for the area, such as improved access paths for walking and cycling.
