Estate near Hayes to get a facelift

Plans to transform Grange Farm Estate near Hayes have got the green light.

Harrow Council has granted planning permission to the redevelopment of Grange Farm. The estate is situated to the south of the area over which the local authority has responsibility. Printing services from Hayes can be used to promote awareness of projects. Councillor Barry Macloed-Cullinane told the Harrow Times:

“This needed to happen – residents told us about the state of the housing. It was in dire need of an update, so this is fantastic news. It’s going to be really important for residents. They will have better quality housing and will be in an area that is a nicer place to live.”

Councillor June Baxter once resided on the estate in question. She agreed with the positive perspective of Councillor Macloed-Cullinane. She expressed her gratitude to the officers who have worked on the Plans associated with the scheme.

However, the details of the initiative are not all settled. Discussions about the provision of parking are ongoing. Councillor Macloed-Cullinane suggested that the Plans will not accommodate sufficient vehicles. He would like more room for cars to be made available as he believes 260 spaces cannot meet demand.

The views of Councillor Macloed-Cullinane have not won universal approval. The planners behind the scheme suggest that a lot of room has been allocated to enable cycling to and from the estate.
