The eclectic singer/songwriter Josh Rouse and the band Vetiver are due to play a gig in South Birmingham at the beginning of February.
Josh, originally from Nebraska, released his debut album 'Dressed Like Nebraska' (1998) to much acclaim. This led to a series of tours notably with Mark Etzel and Aimee Mann. The next offering 'Home' (2003) produced the song 'Directions', which featured in the hit movie 'Vanilla Sky'.
His 2003 breakout album, titled '1972', saw him pivot towards the 1970s with 'Nashville' (2005), continuing this success and expanding his audience. Rouse and his wife Paz then subsequently relocated to Valencia in Spain.
Rouse has since delivered a series of high-quality records including 'On El Turista' (2010), 'The Embers of Time' (2015) and 'Love In The Modern Age' (2018). In 2014, he picked up a Goya Award for the song 'Do You Really Want To Be In Love'.
Vetiver is the stage name of the band fronted by Andy Cabic from San Francisco. 'Up On High' is his latest studio album. They have toured headlining around the globe, supporting the likes of Wilco, Bob Weir and The Shins.
Tickets cost £17.50 inclusive of a booking fee. Flyer printing is a great way of advertising a forthcoming musical event.
The Josh Rouse and Vetiver gig has a starting time of 7.00pm on Thursday 3 February at The Hare and Hounds, South Birmingham.
