South Birmingham to sample veganism

The 3rd annual Birmingham Vegan Festival is due to be held in South Birmingham at the end of March.

It will be of interest not only to vegans but also to those who are considering a change of lifestyle, whether that motivation is on grounds of health, animal welfare or even climate change.

Some 90 stalls, both old and new, will feature at the event, all displaying food, perfumes, cosmetics, clothes and more. Attendees can take the opportunity to learn about veganism through the schedule of talks and cookery demonstrations which include up-to-date information about forthcoming vegan campaigns, foodstuffs and trends.

All profits from the festival will go towards Farplace Animal Rescue, a UK charity that supports animals, particularly FIV+cats. Everyone is welcome to participate, whether that is through hosting their own stall or volunteering, gaining free access in return for helping to ensure that the occasion is a success.

Tickets can be purchased in advance or on the day at £3 for adults, whilst children get in free. VIP tickets, on the other hand, cost £15 with the added benefit of early access and a complimentary goodie bag. Flyer printing is a useful way of obtaining publicity and registering an event in the public mind.

The Birmingham Vegan Festival will be held between 10:30am and 5pm on Saturday 28th March at the Edgbaston Cricket Ground, South Birmingham.
