Plans for Birmingham Post Business Awards evolve

Preparations for the Birmingham Post Business Awards (BPBA) continued at a networking event.

The networking breakfast for the BPBA took place in the Belfry Hotel earlier this month. Business card printing from south Birmingham could be used by those invited to attend the awards this year.

In 2016, the company which secured the top prize was the Belfry Hotel & Resort on Lichfield Road. Katie Niland, a sales director for the firm, told the Birmingham Post:

“As winners of the 2016 Company of the Year Award, we have experienced first hand the positive impact this has had on our team morale, our business, and in turn our guests, which are of course at the centre of everything we do.”

Furthermore, Niland claimed that the prize had been really beneficial for her business. In particular, she stressed the influence the accolade may have had on staff turnover. Financial performance might also have received a welcome boost from the recognition. Niland made clear that her enterprise is proud to get behind the event.

The BPBA attracted a record number of entries in 2017. The judges had a tough task to make judgements within 13 categories.

Marc Reeves, a senior executive at the Birmingham Post, thanked those sponsoring the awards. He suggested that the city-region was on the up, mentioning developments like HS2. He also spoke positively about the potential of the Midlands Engine.
